The Museum of Military History is sponsoring it's 3rd annual "Ardennes Offensive" event at Camp Navajo Army National Guard Training Depot.
All proceeds and battle fee's from this event will benefit the Museum of Military History and its goal to build a Museum facility and restore, service and transport the vehicle's that you'll see and use during the battle. By attending our fine event, you not only have a great time, but you bring us one step closer to reaching our goal.
This event will be very different in its organization as compared to last events. There will be an over-all Allied and Axis Commander followed by the appropriate and realistic chain of command to insure that the battle moves as planned. This concept has been proven in an other reenactment organization and we're excited to have thier experience shared with us.
The Arizonia Ardennes Offensive is based on actual events during the Battle of Bulge, one of the largest battle ever fought on the western front. But our event leaves a level of un-certinity to the conclusion of the battle where history may be re-writen by the tide of battle and the courage of those who attend. In addition, all units will have impartial advisors attached to them to insure a smooth and hassel free game.
Vehicle incentives are as follows: Tank-4 free passes, Halftrack/ Armored Car-3free passes, truck (ex. CCKW, WC-63, Opel Blitz )-2 free passes, Jeep/ Kubelwagen/ Motorcycle w/sidecar- 1 free pass. If you are bringing a vehicle, you still need to register. This is NOT a pay at the gate event.
A special fund has been established for those that would like to see the Museum bring up the following vehicles to this event. Allied: M-18 Hellcat, M8 armored Car, M20 Armored Car, M3A1 Halftrack, CCKW. German: 2x SDKFZ 251 halftracks. In addition, Randy Beard from KgVR is bringing his Panzer III and two additional German halftracks, giving this event a balanced armored force.
